feedback
The following is unsolicited feedback from many of the artists who have graced our stage. We are both proud and grateful that they have enjoyed performing at Zaphods.
- You have a really great website. Just wanted to email you and let you know your hard work is appreciated! - TANYA JANCA - musician, January 22, 2005.
- Thanks for all your help Eugene. You have been the most helpful and easy to deal with of any club owner/booker we've worked with. We'll put on a killer show. Cheers. - JayneWaynes Tucker, THE JANE WAYNES, December 6/ 2004.
- I would like to sincerely thank you for your support and for booking the band...With music fans like yourself out there who are willing to book and promote the band we are able to make sure that the current fans that don't live in southern Ontario get to see one of there favorite Canadian bands...When the band finally hits the big time it will because of real music fans and as a promoter I understand the many risks in booking bands without radio and television exposure, and really appreciate your support - Julian Taylor/ Publicist, STAGGERED CROSSING, November 29, 2004.
- So thanks for being open enough to take a risk on a new band! Deep thanks for all your support! It is truly appreciated. - Darren Rogers, THE HABIT, November 27, 2004.
- You're the bomb, Eugene! - Heather/ What? Management, LINDY, November 26, 2004.
- Hi Eugene, Thanks for having our Homeless Benefit! Overall: last night was a huge success!!! Tons of folks came out and the club was busy early... your staff are always super awesome...last night even more so!!! PS: Your staff made a $175 donation last night this is huge help towards paying for the dinner for 500 homeless persons to eat on X-mas day. That was probably our largest donation...that almost 90 homeless people will be eating on Christmas Day, because of their donating! - Kevin Nolan/ Organizer, CHRISTMAS DINNER FOR SHEPHERDS OF GOOD HOPE BENEFIT, November 26, 2004.
- We all had a great time on Saturday, and your staff was really awesome. Thanks for having us back! - THE PARKAS, November 21, 2004.
- Please know how touched and grateful we who love John are by the benefit on November 6. It was a wonderful evening and the display of talent was inspiring. Throughout the worst moments of our lives we as a family have been inspired and sustained by such wonderful kindness and support - and as the family of an artist you can imagine how much it delights and uplifts us to see such outreach in the form of such talent! May you all never need such support, but may you all understand the incredible support we feel from your efforts. Rest assured John - who is improving daily - will know exactly how wonderful his friends and colleagues have been throughout this ordeal. From the bottom of our hearts - thank you all so much. - Patti MacAulay (John's mother) and the entire Laplante family, THE JOHN LAPLANTE BENEFIT, November 2004.
- Thanks brother, we appreciate it. We were well treated again as usual, which often isn't the standard for opening acts. - Dave Barton, THE PEELERS, October 20, 2004.
- Just wanted to thank all of the wonderfull staff at Zaphods. Tom the sound guy totally rocks. It was great dealing with a professional. The door guy and bar staff were easy to make friends with, and the people of Ottawa sure made it a good time for us. - Dee, OKLAHOMA BOMB SQUAD, August 24, 2004.
- Hey Eugene. Thanks for making contact. The other day someone asked me what office I would be located in (ie. Justice, Confederation, East block, west block, etc). I looked at them at a total loss and then finally admitted "listen I don't know any of the buildings on Parliament. My Ottawa geography is defined by where all the clubs were! - The Honourable Charlie Angus, NDP Member of Parliament for Timmins-James Bay, also member of THE GRIEVOUS ANGELS, August 5, 2004.

- Just wanted to give you a big thanks for the amazing opportunity to play at Zaphod's. I'm not sure if it's the norm in Ottawa, but were treated with so much courtesy & respect by your entire staff.
